🔬 Passionate Molecular Biologist | Innovator in Diagnostics & Drug Development 🔬As a molecular biologist at the University Hospital Frankfurt, I bring a wealth of expertise in the intersection of research, diagnostics, and drug development. As a passionate researcher, my goal is to advance healthcare through science.🧪 During my doctoral research, I led a pioneering project that focused on the research of Carríon's disease. This highly lethal infectious disease is caused by the bacterium Bartonella bacilliformis and is restricted to the South American Andes. With the development of a serological test for the detection of B. bacilliformis antibodies and the exploration of new anti-virulence strategies, I was able to contribute to the fight against this neglected tropical disease. This experience not only strengthened my technical skills but also instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility toward global health challenges.💡 My passion lies in bridging the gap between benchside discovery and bedside application.
