About Adie Flute
Hard-working, motivated creative professional, with a wealth of experience in delivering comprehensive strategies and outstanding end results to high-profile national and international clients - backed up by a wide range of hands-on skills, field knowledge and internal/external team management proficiency. I excel in problem-solving, envisioning prospective solutions at pace (along with any associated positive or negative outcomes of different pathways), and producing laudable creative results under pressure. I proactively drive creative discussions, meetings and tasks forward through strategy, planning, design and production phases, in order to obtain results at the point of final delivery that sit above and beyond the originally established project ambitions. I have continuously set hard but achievable targets and pushed myself, and each member of any relative assembled team I am managing, to produce work of the very highest quality in all aspects.Having worked within the marketing industry since the late 90’s, I have been fortunate enough to produce work for, and consult for, a distinguished line-up of national and international clients, across a broad spectrum of industries. This includes such well-known names as Experian, Thomson Directories, Gillette and Universal Studios, leading to industry awards, as well as being featured in various industry press articles.I have also been drafted in to assist several notable public sector, NFP and charitable organisations with their brand, design and promotional marketing needs, and had my services employed by various respected creative and brand agencies residing across the UK.In addition to the above I have also held a position lecturing to degree, HND and ND students across an array of digital studies. Further down the line, I was invited to be part of Huddersfield University’s validation panel for a proposed new degree qualification. I am a former member of the Gerson Lehrman Group's Media Council and a business coach. Since 2013 I have been consciously active in charitable efforts to assist and raise awareness of, homelessness and poverty within my local area. The work I have carried out so far was officially recognised in 2017 when I received a community “hero” award. My marketing knowledge has played a vital role within the campaigning aspects of the charitable work, as has my pitch and client communications work functions, in areas such as applying for funding or meeting with high-profile figures e.g. local MPs or Police Commissioner, various members of the media etc.

Strategist, Project Manager, Digital And Brand Consultant, And Design (Digital/Traditional)
Producing work directly for clients (including Alcon in Switzerland) but in the main providing creative and strategic services for other agencies around the UK.When working with 3rd party agencies, my role varied and crossed over a wide array of core skills (listed below), and encompassed day-to-day working scenarios where I was managing teams, working as part of a broader marketing team, and as a single design/marketing entity. Alongside producing work for each agency’s roster of clients, I have also undertaken numerous projects surrounding promotional materials and pitch work for the agencies themselves.Core skills:• Brand, marketing and digital strategy writing• Brand creation, development and compliance• Creative and team leadership• Client communication and coordination• Project management• External team/supplier management• Campaign development• UI/UX planning and design• Traditional design• Event and exhibition design• Base-level competency in copywritingThe wide geographical spread and number of agencies I work with has been achieved almost entirely through recommendation, combined with retention, therefore building up the active list of agency clients over time. This then lays testament to my ability to work with others (both remotely and in person), to excel in carrying out a wide variety of brand, marketing and design tasks, and above all, to achieve results for their clients that are of the highest standard.
Managing Director
A boutique marketing agency, producing high-calibre work for international, national and SME clients (including white-label work for other UK creative agencies). Projects undertaken spanned a wide gamut of traditional and digital requirements, encompassing a broad spectrum of personal skills. The high standard of end results was achieved through a combination of my own personal skills, alongside managing and maintaining a first-class network of freelance professionals to deliver high-quality work within established timelines and budgets.Alliance’s underlying ethos was to combine big agency thinking and professionalism with the kind of attentive client servicing and value often associated with smaller agencies. Skills employed directly included:• Brand, marketing and digital strategy writing• Brand creation, development and compliance• Creative and team leadership• Client communication and coordination• External team/supplier management• UI/UX planning and design• Traditional design work (annual reports, press advertising etc)• Event and exhibition designAs well as the UK, Adie has also worked with overseas clients and contacts, from the US and continental Europe to the Middle East.
Managing And Creative Director
Deviate quickly established itself as one of the fastest-growing design agencies in the Yorkshire region. Founded in 2003 by myself, with a handful of small local clients, I initially grew the business through my own brand, design and marketing skills, before expanding into a team of designers, developers, copywriters and client support staff. Moving into a managerial role, with creative hands-on applied as and when required, the business undertook work for an enviable roster of national and international brands, which in turn led to both turnover and net profit rising at an impressive rate.Overall business growth was achieved solely by ensuring that produced work was of the very highest standard and was on budget and on time. The combination of attention to detail, rigorously high standards, and strict project time management control led towards numerous recommendations and unprompted letters of thanks from clients. Alongside this, the agency successfully won a number of key industry awards and received recognition from industry magazine The Drum, who listed Deviate as a challenger of note to other older agencies within the region.A notable client achievement during my time with Deviate, occurred within the eRetail sector where my work helped to take the relatively new sports nutrition brand MyProtein (solely selling directly to the public online) to a position where the owner was able to sell the company to The Hut Group in 2011 for £60m - just after the company’s sixth birthday.

Lecturing to Degree, HND, ND and business personnel in web, multimedia (authoring and design) digital audio and music technology.Responsibilities included continued support to both staff and students on a design and technical level. The project required teaching local business personnel, including British Steel (now known as Corus) and Lavender International NDT employees, the uses of, and how businesses can improve from, ICT (specifically multimedia).
