Being in the healthcare sector is crazy because the learning process seems like never ending and the knowledge does not revolve just in the field itself but also from other aspects of life. There are two things that fascinate me about dietetics; First, the concept of disease management through medical nutrition therapy is very significant. Second, the application of dietetics knowledge in my daily life includes food intake, hobbies and interests. As a competent Dietitian, I apply the skills from my experiences in leadership because the need of great mind is crucial in order to decide, persuade and execute the appropriate individualized plans for the patients/clients. Excellent communication is the bread and butter for Dietitian because I work hand in hand with other personnel of different background and communication is the best way to convince them that my role is important as well - this is none other than to influence an outcome and optimize the disease progress positively. I have deep interest in sport and Dietetics has deepen it even more. I play volleyball and squash competitively. I also consider myself as 'self-made scientist' because I have been experimenting nutrition intake with my sports performance.
