I am passionate about using technology at scale (specifically Algorithms & Machine Learning) to solve high impact problems in the real world.I currently work as a Software Engineer in the Ads team at Google, Mountain View CA on a variety of interesting projects that use system improvements along with algorithmic and data driven insights to improve and optimize some of the largest distributed systems in the world generating XX billion$ of yearly revenue. Before that I graduated with a B.Tech+M.Tech Dual Degree in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur. In my Masters Thesis, I used Machine Learning and Statistics to generate algorithmic trading strategies using high frequency stock market data. I've also done research internships at the Centre of Algorithms, Discrete Maths and Algorithms at ETH Zurich and Yahoo Research Labs in the area of Algorithms and Game Theory.During my stay in college, I was the elected Chairman of the Students' Gymkhana at IIT Kanpur overseeing a budget of INR 20 million and representing the student community in important Institute Committees such as the Academic Senate, Undergraduate Committee, Disciplinary Committee. I was also the Editor of the college newspaper (Vox Populi), the Coordinator of the English Literary Society and a member of the Institute Basketball team. I am avid sportsperson and triathlete and enjoy hiking, biking, swimming and basketball.
