• Managing the day-to-day operations of the IT department. This includes setting the strategic direction, managing vendors, IT/IS projects, resolving end user issues, and developing and implementing new policies.• Managed the implementation of a new Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. This helped move clinical staff from paper based clinical documentation to paperless. This project also included components for admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT), computerized physician order entry (CPOE), and closed loop medication management system. Continue to manage the evolution of the system by engaging end-users and the vendor to determine what improvements and/or new tools can be developed and implemented. Aim to bring Casey House to HIMMS level 7 for EMRAM and O-EMRAM.• Managed all interfaces related to the EHR project. These interfaces included client and staff barcoding, interfacing with ConnectingOntario, interfacing with vitals devices for automatic uploading of vitals into the EHR, and uploading documents directly from the scanner into the client’s record.• Managed the IT move to a new facility for Casey House. This involved working with the builder and IT trades to ensure all new infrastructure and systems were implemented and operational prior to the move. Systems included a new network and phone system, nurse call, staff assist, client wondering, and audiovisual system. Also included integration of iPhones to the nurse call and phone systems.
