Responsibilities:First checker of Letters of Guarantees & collection Section’s daily work.Screening new applications for guarantees and processing for approval.Preparing & checking the text of each guarantee and making desirable changes.Ensuring compliance with management approval guidelines and recommendations.Signing the final letter of guarantee, customer advice, and accounting entries.Drafting outgoing messages for correspondent banks.Acting as Verifier for Swift Messages and reviewing incoming messages.Drafting the wording of different guarantees as per corporate or management request.Reviewing and ensuring the correctness of incoming collection documents.Ensuring documents are released and settlements effected as per remitting bank’s instructions.Following up on unpaid collections with drawees and remitting banks.Executing bills for collections under Islamic finance vehicles according to Sharia law.Screening new applications for letters of credit issuance and ensuring compliance with Sharia regulations.Checking and making amendments to letters of credit and obtaining necessary approvals.Signing insurance proposals, customer advice, and accounting entries.Reviewing incoming export letters of credit and obtaining management approval for confirmations.Daily balancing of all trade finance related ledgers and rectifying any discrepancies.
