I am the Co-Founder of the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival, an annual, multi-cultural solo festival that has produced close to 500 artists from around the globe and celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2018. I have been honored, both individually and the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival, with the prestigious Women in Theatre Award in 2006.

I have been teaching acting and writing for many years. My many celebrity clients have included Freda Payne, Florence LaRue, Toni Braxton, Jada Pinkett, Kym Whitley, Benjamin Bratt, Don “DC” Curry, Chris Brown and Lauren Lane, among many others. I am currently offering Zoom Consultations titled "One on One with Adilah" for 2021!

ON MY OWN TERMS received the #3 non-fiction paperback rating in Essence Magazine’s June 2009 issue following President Obama’s two books.

In 2007, I founded The Writer’s Well, an international literary writer’s retreat for women located in a very beautiful, woodsy and serene environment in the Atlanta area. It has attracted global writers from as far away as Ghana and Puerto Rico.
