Additional projects;Managed product stability program:• Sampling, testing and retaining finished product for stability program. Established the shelf life of products after running accelerated and real time stability tests. Managed to achieve longer shelf life for the finished product by employing stringent quality standards and more accurate testing procedures.• Worked closely with the research and development department to optimize shelf life and determined overages of each active component added. Saved costs for the company by minimizing the maximum required overage to achieve the optimum shelf life.Maintenance of the sanitation, pest control and facility management programs. Constantly validated by numerous audits.

Maintaining facility current Good Manufacturing Practices as highlighted by Health Canada regulations for Natural Health Products as per the Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate;• Directing, supervising and training production and packaging personnel to follow written standard operating procedures and conducting regular checks to ensure quality standards are upheld.• Daily checks / tests on in process product to ensure safety and quality are maintained. Tests include heavy metal and micro determination along with tests for actives before releasing finished product.Preparing facility / personnel for 2nd party audits and carrying out corrective action procedures.Maintaining Supplier Qualification Program:• Receiving all raw materials entering facility and updating warehouse system.• Sampling and testing raw materials, maintaining raw material retention program.• Running paper audits on suppliers and qualifying / rejecting new suppliers.Ensuring the Sanitation and Pest control SOP's are followed by staff and correcting any issues that may be encountered.Reporting any problems with equipment / instruments to the supervisor and following up to allow the facility to run at optimum performance.Significantly increased the quality standards of the company allowing further certification.
