I have the branch audit portfolio falling in North division of Allied Bank, divided into three audit offices, each headed by a Manager Audit, namely Islamabad, Peshawar and Mirpur. Major responsibilities include completion of branch audit plan of about 270 branches and other special assignments including investigations of complaints, fraud and forgery etc. Human resources working in division are currently 40.

My responsibilities included carrying out various audits and special engagements and to complete them in agreed time frame. It includes planning the engagement, framing the scope in consultation with the engagement team and agreeing it with client, execution of work and quality service delivery within agreed timelines.Clients include Kot Addu Power Company Limited (KAPCO) and KSB Pumps Company Limited (KSB).Performed half year review and annual external audit of KAPCO and KSB. Tasks included; review and presentation of business analysis framework among engagement team by gaining an understanding of business and competitors’ statistics; discussion of audit planning, risk assessment and audit results with CEO and CFO;preparation and review of compliance checklists for material agreements (PPA, OSA, GSA); execution and review of audit work;review of creditors’ and debtors’ aging, understanding of financing mix and computation of relative costs thereon;preparation and review of costing analysis and comparisons with previous periods’ figures; and performing final analytical procedures by comparing expected results including embedded rate of return with actual results and documenting reasons for variance.Internal Audits and Special AssignmentsThe scope of such assignments included documentation, risk and control mapping and internal audit of selected processes of a manufacturing concern.

As TEAM LEADER AND MEMBER during training period, I have experience of:• Statutory audits which include analysis and reviews of separate and consolidated financial statements including cash flow statements, compliance with management policies, laws, regulations and IFRS.• Due diligence reviews and special assignments including performance of agreed upon procedures. Notable assignments include portfolio review assignment conducted at a microfinance institution and bank for the purposes of spin off. • Internal Audits and portfolio reviews conducted at commercial and investment banks.
