I got into social work as a vehicle for doing social justice work. I have an LICSW , and have mostly focused on family support, and community engagement. Currently, I am an assistant director of a program that provides home based family support and therapy. I have had many different roles including: clinical social worker, group work and dialogue facilitator, trainer, supervisor, community organizer, program developer, curriculum designer. I was very excited in the last few years to be part of an effort to bring restorative (justice) approaches to a K-8 school in Boston--which totally transformed the community into a more humane and vibrant place, for students, staff and parents. I am really interested in continuing to be involved directly in work rooted in social justice and community building.
