This role is my first in the food & beverage industry.

This role is an internal transition, switching my focus to a different aspect of the store. I support the store leadership team to ensure company standards are met in accordance with policies & procedures in operations, customer engagement, systems, loss prevention, team training & development, and merchandise presentation - Main focus on Merchandise Presentation, Recovery, and Maintenance.

This role was a transition to off-price retail. I supported the store leadership team to ensure company standards were met in accordance with policies & procedures. This role was a transfer back to my previous location due to business needs. I supervised a range of store duties; this included overseeing registers, store's visual aesthetic, loss prevention, launches, new hires, & leader on duty training. I also administered all aspects of facility issues, loss prevention audits, safety trainings, & administrative duties to ensure the highest quality in-store experience.

This role was my second leadership promotion. This role was my first promotion into a leadership role. I supported the success of all operational functions within the store. This included all aspects of the customer service experience, cash handling, markdown compliance, product pricing, and signage. By overseeing each of these functions, I helped drive sales & productivity by promoting our products, and producing the highest quality shopping experience for our customers. I also completed duties I had previously assisted with in my last roll.

This role was the start of my retail career. I became proficient in many roles such as a Sales Floor Associate, Fitting Room Attendant, Greeter, Sorter/Runner of return & fitting room merchandise, Cashier, and a Head Cashier. I either asked, or was assigned, additional opportunities & projects spanning across all areas including the management, visual, and stock teams. I also assisted leadership with Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, opening & closing procedures, overseeing the cash wrap, training new hires in any position at the associate level, processing markdowns, store to store/store to HQ transfers, and annual inventory.

This role was a transition into sports retail. I worked at three different locations throughout my employment. Through each location I gained different skills and knowledge.At the Blackhawks Store Woodfield Mall Kiosk, I gained knowledge of the sport of hockey, experience working for a successful hockey team, and dealing with their fanbase. My experience allowed me to essentially oversee the kiosk independently, as there was usually one person per shift. I gained knowledge of opening and closing procedures, product and team knowledge, self management, sending needed inventory lists, and intake of custom jersey orders. This location ultimately closed at the end of the Blackhawk’s season 2014.At the Arlington International Racecourse Gift Shop, I was successful in the skills and responsibilities of a Sales Associate. In another new venture, I gained knowledge of the sport of horse racing, and experience working at a venue. I also learned opening and closing procedures, product knowledge, accordance to state laws in selling tobacco products, and inventory. This was a transfer position while the Kiosk closed briefly for Summer 2013, and closed ultimately Summer 2014.At the Blackhawks Store at Oakbrook Center, I brought the same successful skills, knowledge, and responsibilities from working at the Kiosk. The difference in location and size allowed a larger fanbase to reach our store. There was more of a connection throughout the Blackhawks Store Locations, compared to my time at the Kiosk. This allowed me to actively increase my product, promotional, and event knowledge between our stores' locations, as well as the United Center itself.
