My main tasks as Metadata Coordinator at Europeana consist of coordinating the complete ingestion workflow, from metadata harvesting, indexing and publishing of digital collections from European cultural institutions and related projects. I ensure the presentation and publication of data publishing documentation and assist in the developement of training materials. In addition, I support the Events team with planning and coordinating of online/hibrid events as well as I taking part of the Diversity & Inclusivity conversations, either internally or with Europeana partners.

My main task was to publish digitized documents belonging to the library's Special Collections department, using DigiTool (Digital Library Software provided by ExLibris) and thus, together with 2 other colleagues, to develop the National Digital Library http://digitool.bibnat.ro:8881/R. Doing this, I was responsible for their respective metadata integrity, descriptions accuracy (Dublin Core) and assigning MARC21 descriptions to the digital representations. I was also involved in the collection creation strategy thus I conducted meetings with the Special Collections curators and catalogers. Additionally to this role, I was a member of the editorial board of the Library Review (http://www.bibnat.ro/Revista-Biblioteca-s224-ro.htm), one of the publications of the National Library of Romania and contributed there with translations and articles related to my area of expertise.

This internship was a part of the Digital Library Learning master programme in collaboration with Europeana. My task was to analyse a service of Europeana and to create User Evaluation Plan. I therefore chose the Virtual Exhibitions and wrote a plan for evaluating the impact on the users and of the usage of this service.
