In this position, I manage construction of veterinary specialty hospitals from site selection to final walk through, this includes management of vendors to carry out Blue Pearl’s vision for veterinary specialty medical facilities. We are focused on construction of facilities that provide our practitioners the environment to provide exceptional care as well as creating comfortable and inviting settings for our customers and their pets . My background in the veterinary field allows me to make the best decisions which inevitably impact the local teams. We provide exceptional specialty and emergency care for pets by supporting each other through our shared passion, knowledge and talents.

I started as a Veterinary Technician with Veterinary Emergency Group. During my time as a veterinary technician, I identified the need for professional facilities management for VEG hospitals. I managed facilities projects within my home hospital and Veterinary Emergency group gave me the opportunity to expand this role. I was integral in the creation of systems and implementation of full time facilities services for VEG’s new facilities department. I trained and managed a team of skilled Facility Operation Managers to cover hospitals across the country. We successfully brought facilities and equipment services to the hospitals so doctors and technicians were able to focus on what was important, helping people and their pets when needed it most. We also provided support for the construction department during and after handoff of the newly built facility to the local team.

After the military I started a career in veterinary medicine. I started as a veterinary assistant and progressed to skilled Emergency Technician. I worked in several different care settings including nonprofit, primary care, specialty care, and emergency care.
