As an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) at Treebo Hotels, I work with a group of engineers to build and maintain the highly available performant system that anyone can use. I troubleshoot complex issues and write automation or optimize systems/workflows using my knowledge of linux systems & commands, networking, SQL & NOSQL databases, docker & kubernetes. I did graduation in Bachelor of Computer Applications from Lovely Professional University, which gave me a foundation for programming, especially related to Python and data structures & algorithms. I have also completed my Masters in Computer Applications with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Chandigarh University.I am highly motivated by the evolving big data domain and technologies, I did some certifications for Data Warehousing, Pentaho ETL tool, and am learning Big Data tech stack like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow. Apart from my SRE responsibilities, I help with the Data Platform at Treebo Hotels, building end to end data pipelines for reporting use cases using the Pentaho ETL tool and storing them in the Redshift Data warehouse. I work with the team managing these pipelines, fixing stuff whenever any issue is there, and generally making sure that our data is sane.For the past 1 year, I have been wearing two hats and working as an SRE with some perspective in Data Engineering.
