• Developed and project-managed hard disk drive (HDD) assembly machine conversion, improvements, and new designs for more than 20 new product launches.• Integrated machine elements, actuators, motors & pumps, automatic feeders & drivers, control devices, and photoelectric & vision sensors into IR4.0-enabled cleanroom and non-cleanroom machines for automated processes such as pick-and-place, screw feeding & driving, gas exchange & sampling, humidity control, label installation, inspection, etc.• Managed a 5-member tooling engineering design team for 2+ years. Implemented a task/project management system using Smartsheet® software.• Delivered >USD25 million savings by deploying a new HDD humidity control machine as technical lead and project manager, engaging a Japanese vendor for design, replication, and commissioning.• As department 6S leader, improved 6S audit score from 37% to 90% within 2 quarters, and continually improving to 96%, leading 25 engineering and admin staff in implementing 6S initiatives.• Procured and set up 3D printing machines for WD KL, reducing concept prototype turnaround time from 3 weeks to 3 days.• Attached to WD San Jose, California for 6 months; developed high-speed automated assembly systems for new HDD products, and developed the department’s tolerance stackup analysis template.
