Responsible for driving business growth for industrial air pollution control systems.

Involved as an industrial engineer for setting up the expansion plant, worked towards improving existing packaging lines at the old plant.• Studied the packaging lines for various products and processes and gathered cycle time data by analysing videos of the packaging lines, listened to line workers to get identify issues and ideas on improvement, recommended improvements to the lines to reduce time during various processes and improve efficiency of the lines.• Developed the process flow for a product which will be implemented in the new expansion plant of the company.• Worked on FF&E for the expansion plant, used AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.• Took ownership of IBC’s (intermediate bulk containers) - sorting, testing and evaluation of IBC’s for the new plant.• Currently working on identifying bottlenecks on the packaging lines at the current facility, would be implementing the improvements on the lines and moved to a new facility in the next couple of months.• Working towards consolidating bottles used for numerous products with the aim to reduce changeover and downtimes between different batches which is a non-value-added process on the packaging lines, increasing the runtimes and throughput.• Working towards reducing changeover times between product change.

Improve the manufacturing line for a flagship product• Observed and analyzed the manufacturing line, identified areas of improvements and bottlenecks in the process• Conducted extensive research and included the line workers to get their feedback• Used IE tools such as process map, gathered timing data for each step in the process via time studies• Gave recommendations to the client on ways to automate manufacturing to improve efficiency and meet their long-term goals, made a shopping list for their reference• Studied the current ergonomics and recommended ways to improve the ergonomics on the line

Developed forecasts for future demand for tablets and worked with the different departments to understand their involvement in supply chain which resulted in savings of $200,000. • Excel was used to develop a rolling 18 month forecast for 7500 SKU’s based on weighted moving averages with 3 months as the period.• Communicated with marketing team to generate and validate the demand for our product.• Liaised with the supply department on confirming the prediction which resulted not only in an increase in the accuracy by 20%, but also reduced backorders below 5%. • Consolidated demand for separate A, B and C class products to reinforcement stocking inventory.• Analysed vendor categories by data analysis and supported designing logistics from plants to various sites.• Negotiated with vendors in global procurement & set contracts for various direct/indirect commodities saving $200,000. Worked with logistics to ensure timely delivery of products during the pandemic.

Worked with different departments at the company and studied the manufacturing process to identify areas of improvement which led to savings of $120,000.• Documented the functioning of the production line, operations at BIW shop, CED department, material handling systems, inventory, and quality assurance department.• Process mapping, FMEA, Design of Experiments (DOE) was used to improve the manufacturing process which saved the company a total of $120,000.• Maintained a Bill of Material (BOM) for vehicles based on current supply and demand. • Used CNC G (to move the machine to fabricate) and M (controls miscellaneous machine functions) codes to machine the part per dimensions.• Assisted with layout development on AutoCAD for the plant when changes were being implemented.
