Ms. Barry has more than 30 years of experience in the day-to-day financial management of design and construction firms with a specialty focus in construction accounting. Ms. Barry holds B.S in Accounting and earned a certificate in Building Trades from Montgomery College. She also completed Clark Construction’s LSDBE Partnership course which covers all aspects of construction including bidding, bonding, and financial management. Prior to starting her business, Ms. Barry was Controller of an 8(a) design and construction firm specializing in federal government contracting for 12 years. In this capacity she was responsible for the financial oversight of projects up to $30,000,000 in construction costs. Currently, Ms. Barry provides executive corporate oversight on all TEI contracts in support of healthcare, research, DOD, and commercial facility design/build and design-bid-build projects, ensuring adherence to project goals, budgets, and schedules. Ms. Barry is familiar with all aspects of government contract accounting requirements, including fixed price, cost plus and time and material procurement methods. She works together with TEI’s surety (bonding) company as well as their banking institution to assure their ability to secure bonding and financing.
