On the Global Advocacy team within the Government Relations Department at PPFA, I gained experience in domestic and foreign government relations in the reproductive rights space. - I built the 115th Congress section of our Global Advocacy Champion Tracker, a unique tool to identify and rank Members of Congress in their support for international family planning and sexual and reproductive health.- Built a Coalition statement tracker, used to identify coalition partners vocal in their support for various statements opposing the global gag rule. - Monitored 12 congressional hearings and multiple sessions of the UN High Level Political Forum. - Regularly wrote global updates and news briefings for three internal PPFA newsletters. - Completed extensive bill tracking efforts to identity bills related to Planned Parenthood's efforts. - Acted as a Crowd Marshal and assisted in the logistics of six Planned Parenthood and coalition-led rallies and marches on Capitol Hill.- Attended and wrote memorandums for five briefings and two coalition meetings. - Planned and executed a Government Relations team retreat.

I led and organize a weekly Capitol Hill Lobby Corps, created Voter Guides for the 2016 Election, and conducted research on state-level think tanks and policy. In addition, I handled constituent relations, gave tours of the U.S. Capitol Building, and learned about the legislative process.I was placed in this office through the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, (APAICS) a non-profit dedicated to boosting representation of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in political office at the local, state, and national level.

I help create and organize programming events conducted by the Lieben Center. The Lieben Center is an organization centered around gender equality and women's rights. I organized various events, such as a Women in Business speaker event that drew over 160 people in attendance.

As a YP4 fellow, I participated in trainings to learn how to be be an ally and create social justice-centered events in my community. Through this fellowship, I learned about racial justice and organizing, and used my training to lead organizing efforts on my college campus.
