I'm a visual artist who is motivated to blend the synergy of life experience, journey, and learning to create artworks. A constant flux of innovative ideas inspires me to perform as an educator too. I observe teaching as a creative process. It's just the sheer passion for revealing the unseen that drives me to explore and execute my ideas in versatile mediums like painting, printmaking, cyanotype, artist books, installation-based projects, and textile-based art. I currently reside in Toronto, Canada. My work experience includes working as an Artist and Assistant professor in the Department of Graphic art, Visva Bharati University 2014-2021. As a recipient of UGC, NET, Junior research fellowship I earned my Doctorate with an emphasis in printmaking from the Department of Graphic art, Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan in 2011. I constantly evolve material possibilities along with visual narratives dwelling in an imaginative world. In the process, I blend inspiration from local and traditional craft practices of different regions encountered during travels to transform my contemporary language. My works majorly revolve around, immediate experiences exploring my natural environment. I have solo shows and site-specific installation projects to my credit and have participated in various exhibitions, conducted workshops, and given presentations in various institutions in India, Bangladesh, Korea.I am looking forward to continuing and contributing as an educator in visual art, the Higher education industry in Ontario.
