Inland Rail is a once-in-a-generation iconic project that will enhance supply chains and complete the backbone of the national freight network by providing for a transit time of 24 hours or less for freight trains between Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.My responsibilities:Managing and developing ICT projects within the Inland Rail ICT team, supporting the Inland Rail Program.

▪ Lead delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder projects through a combination of out-sourced solution implementation and internal services integration and development▪ Control project schedules in a high volume fast paced distributed environment, ensuring necessary deliverables are completed in accordance with the project plan, ensuring adequate resource allocation▪ Move between agile and waterfall approaches depending on project specifics and client goals, creating detailed project road maps, plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures▪ Lead pre-sales discussions, customer negotiations, requirements elicitation, process gap analysis, define processes and tools best suited to each project▪ Design and deliver advanced technical Microsoft 365 solutions including information architecture and governance, including Approval systems, Automated Ordering Apps, HR solutions, and more▪ Partner with clients to understand and document their process and data needs, business and organisational gaps, evaluate current systems and structures, facilitating problem solving through rapid solution prototyping▪ Deliver corporate coaching, training, and adoption support on new solutions and processes▪ Actively track and grade internal and external project risks for escalation through appropriate channels▪ Provide regular project reporting using tools such as Microsoft Project or JIRA Agile

 Kick started ongoing review of capacity management of Telstra’s enterprise data warehouse comprising of more than 60 applications Delivered a capacity management program that reclaimed over $4.5M worth of Teradata storage avoiding further investment into the high cost platform Developed an Information Systems strategy to deliver a flexible environment which caters for the increasing business emphasis on BI and analytics and drive more value from Telstra’s core information assets Led the National IT Audit Program of over 12,000 mid-range IT equipment across all Telstra Data Centres and Exchanges and office locations, as part of a nation-wide ‘cleansing’ initiative  Identified process improvements across the Infrastructure Lifecycle Program, analysing bids / assessments across storage and server domains  Engaged and facilitated coordination between delivery teams and vendors Performed Analytical work on Telstra’s internal CMDB (Configuration Management Database), to cleanse data in order to maintain data quality standardsSelected Achievements Led the National IT Audit Program of mid-range IT equipment across all Telstra Managed Data Centres, Exchanges and Office Locations nationwide, as part of a nation-wide ‘cleansing’ initiative.
