Investigating the underlying neurological factors associated with Anorexia Nervosa (AN) with a focus on the potential treatment of AN through dietary supplements, including vitamins, minerals, and probiotics due to their known ability to restore gut-microbiome diversity and address alterations in the gut-brain axis, which are prevalent in individuals with AN. Working as my team lead, collaborated in writing a 30-page literature review article analyzing the gut microbiome’s relationship with anorexia nervosa, to be published on The Berkeley Pharma Tech Journal of Medicine.

Working in the Tower Lab studying the Molecular Genetics of aging in Drosophila by identifying the changes in gene expression that occur during normal aging and using this information as a guide to investigate underlying aging mechanisms. We use a variety of approaches, including traditional molecular biology techniques, transgenic reporter constructs, micro-array analyses and RNAseq- Wet lab: Making food with different drugs for the Drosophila, conducting egg counts for different conditions. - Dry Lab: transcribing Drosophila recordings to observe fly fall frequencies in correlation to motor system disruption

Worked at the USC Brain and Music Lab studying Music and Nostalgia Across the Lifespans: seeking to understand how personally-meaningful music elicits nostalgia and autobiographical memory in younger and older adults. Responsible for transcribing memories from older adults and score them using segmentation and categorization methods

Founder of a nonprofit that organizes bake sales to raise funds for those experiencing homelessness. Baked cookies and cupcakes for different holidays and events and donated to Abode Services, a local homeless shelter, and to the Lebanese Red Cross
