Designing and building the Financial and Commerce engineering systems at the scale of Stripe with a focus on solving cross-team and cross-service engineering technical programs in the area of financial reporting and billing systems.

Initiated and Led a Microsoft Finance and Compliance wide planning effort to keep the Microsoft Commerce Platform compliant. The effort identified, prioritized and delivered key financial and compliance requirements to the engineers building Microsoft's Commerce Platform. Passionately solved difficult technical and financial problems as part of the planning effort as the asks spanned multiple types of products and multiple areas of finance and compliance. Examples of types of products are Consumer and Commercial products including usage based products, seat based products, pre-paid products and post-paid products. Additionally the work also included payouts and pre-commitments. Specifically, the products spanned Azure, Office, Xbox across multiple channels such as Direct, Indirect, Partner and Volume Licensing. In terms of Financial and Legal areas, the work spanned Revenue, Tax, Payments, Management Reporting, External Reporting, Trade Screening and Anti-Corruption

Undertook a transformation of the financial systems by leading the Engineering team responsible for building highly scalable financial processing services for billing transactions for Microsoft's businesses including both consumer and commercial transactions while also owning and operating the older system. These systems processed complex transactions for prepaid purchases, gift cards and usage based services such as Azure. The services included micro-services, sql batch workloads and big data workloads. I was responsible for development, test, operations and financial close processing for both the new and old services.

Promoted to be the Lead of the Windows Media Center group responsible for the software used to capture TV signals over the air and from set top boxes so that local live TV and cable TV could be shown in Windows.

Received multiple patents in the networking area at a time when Wireless, Home Networking and Gigabit Ethernet were being adopted by users by developing specific Network Device Drivers APIs in the Windows operating system. The APIs developed contributed to adoption of these news technologies into the Windows Operating System which was the predominant operating system at that time.
