Serving as a teaching assistant for the course Engineering Chemistry. Responsibilities include preparing questions and solutions for use in classroom and tutorial sessions, and tests therein; and assisting the instructor-in-charge with his duties as required.

I worked on modelling the receiver and antenna responses of the SARAS 3 telescope in its detection of the 21-cm extragalactic hydrogen line signal. As a prerequisite, I also studied the fundamentals of cosmology, the challenges involved in detecting the aforementioned signal, and radio astronomy. My work at IGCAR was focused on estimating radioactivity levels in the atmosphere around a nuclear power plant, specifically due to radiocarbon and tritium. I devised laboratory set-ups to capture the desired radionuclides from the atmosphere, and treated them chemically to obtain them in the form of a stable compound. These were then subjected to radioactivity measurements. The project combined laboratory chemical work with high-end nuclear operations devices.
