Responsible for Long Member Dies (chassis & Frame)Planning

 Involved in designing sheet metal dies, modifications of old dies designs and panel checkers Design And Modification of Long Member dies. Very large dies about 6-8 meters long with no of Inserts to be combined for manufacturing of various versions of long members.  Supervising operations of newly formed department of TS-ICR&M (Technical Services – Integrated Cost Reduction & Management) Developing and implementing quality enhancement and cost saving initiatives for BIW Input material weight  Managing vendor base of 11 outhouse Vendors and their 40 sub suppliers in Chakan, Ranjangaon and Nashik region Working on VISTA Platform (425 parts) and Indica platform (511 parts) Worked on TATA Motors new project X1(Indica Vista and Manza)-Body Shop and Welding fixtures & proving along with KUKA, Germany Accountable for maintaining quality and working of fixtures as well as sub assy Developed and implemented changes on fixtures for enhancing quality (implemented 23 different Modifications, prepared in house from scrap material, deleted fixtures etc. and saved Rs.1.5 crores approx.) Coordinated with KUKA and suppliers for achieving better quality and cycle time deadlines Conducted audits of vendor material and signing off of fix to the vendors Arranged and imparted trainings to vendors for PM and maintenance of these fix Involved in commissioning, tryout and signing off of Inspection Fix, built for these assemblies Monitored pneumatic maintenance of fixtures Imparted trainings to workers and implemented 5`S and KAIZEN activities to enhance productivity and reduce waste Recipient of J.R.D. TATA Quality Value Award for project during training of Master Craftsman
