Dr Aditya Moorthy is a Maxillofacial Surgeon with two decades' experience. Following training in a busy tertiary trauma centre in India, he trained in busy maxillofacial centers in the UK, obtaining a membership and a fellowship from the Royal colleges of Edinburgh and Ireland respectively. He has extensive experience in facial trauma surgery, management of Oral malignancies and salivary gland disease, complex reconstruction of face and surgery for facial deformities. He was one of the first few to practice minimally invasive salivary gland surgery - Sialendoscopy - following training in Geneva’s European Sialendoscopy centre. He is specially interested in periorbital surgery, management of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, post ablative facial reconstruction, management of salivary gland disorders and Sialendoscopy. He is keenly interested in academics. He has several national and international publications to his credit. He also has authored several text book chapters and is a reviewer for the ENT and oral oncology journals. He is a regular speaker on the national and international academic circuit and is passionate about teaching young surgeons.He currently heads the department of Maxillofacial surgery in two hospitals in Bangalore.
