Worked on the development of polymer based nano-composite gel electrolyte for pH sensing applications. The topic dealt with making polymer and acid based gel electrolytes and testing their pH sensitivities as a function of the transistor output characteristics. An EGFET system was used to apply voltage within a known limit and the current recorded. Implications of the addition of a suitable nano-particle on the pH sensitivities of the system was evaluated.

Course: Materials Engineering - IThe course deals with the fundamentals of Material Science and Engineering concepts. Undergraduate Students are taught about classes of materials, their properties, micro-structures and applications. Students are encouraged to evaluate the design and properties of materials through case studies, weekly assignments and quizzes. I was responsible for conducting weekly help sessions, discussing answers to assignments and exams and with grading of tests and exams.

The project dealt with Design Optimization of intricate components of a High Pressure Fuel Pump.The deflections arising at the packing carrier of the pump body and the base flange were reduced considerably, through design calculations and FEA simulation.A four-lobed cam, for future generation pumps was designed.
