Undergraduate Researcher

Reimer Lab, Department Of Chemical And Biomolecular Engineering

Using solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (SSNMR) to investigate metal organic framework (MOF) properties. Developed packing tools and became familiar with the Varian Chemagnetics 4mm probe. Used TNMR to investigate various properties of MOF-5.Built pressure control apparatus using 10 solenoid valves and circuitry; controlled using a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. Included pressure control gauges, requiring digital to analog converters and complicated circuitry. Homebuilt equipment currently put to use.Designed and constructed a tuneless probe (employed the use of SolidWorks, Python, machining, coil-building, circuitry, and nuclear magnetic resonance).Wrote numerous technical reports and gave presentations to the research group.Presented research poster at U.S. Department of Energy's EFRC All-Hands Meeting.
