My main responsibilities were to identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate those risks. To achieve this, I conducted a detailed analysis of the project plan and timeline, identified critical areas, and assessed the likelihood and impact of potential risks. I utilized tools such as Primavera P6 software to manage the project schedule, mitigate financial risks, and ensure timely completion. One of the significant risks I identified was the loss of combustion gases used to reheat the blast furnace. To mitigate this risk, I recommended the implementation of a gas collection system and analyzed its feasibility and cost-effectiveness. The implementation of this system resulted in a 23.3% increase in efficiency, reducing the overall operational costs of the steel plant.Another critical risk was the possibility of delays in project completion due to unanticipated events such as labor strikes or natural disasters. To address this, I created contingency plans and established a risk management framework to ensure the project's timely completion.Overall, my experience as a Risk Management Intern has taught me the importance of proactive risk management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I gained valuable experience working with industry professionals, managing complex projects, and leveraging advanced project management tools.-Utilized Primavera P6 software to decrease the project duration by 5% through mitigating financial risks.
