Converting pilots in the manufacturing vertical

Developing a new algorithm under the direction of Dr. Mark Fredrickson and Dr. Ben Hansen to update the R package, optmatch, which is maintained by the University of Michigan.To estimate the benefit of a new curricular, medical or public policy intervention relative to usual practice, a common tactic is to pair individuals exposed to the intervention to otherwise similar controls. Pairing subjects requires using constrained optimization routines. The current algorithm does not scale to large problems. The updates to optmatch will improve its computational efficiency to improve matching based medical or social science impact analyses.
