(Slice technologies got renamed to Rakuten Intelligence)Building the Machine Learning/Data platforms for order extraction and e-receipt obfuscation.Major highlights:• Designed a stream processing platform to extract order information from e-receipts using deeplearning ML models.• Designed a platform to obfuscate and remove PII from e-receipts.• Lead a team of 6 to build a platform to train, test, validate, version and deploy over 5000+ MLmodels. Models are trained using over 2 TB+ of data.• Implemented a data labelling engine which annotated and labelled over a Petabyte of text data.• Designed and Built a GDPR compliant data warehouse. It serves Terabytes of training, testingand validation datasets for batch jobs; like ML training, data extraction, testing, validation. Itreduced data access time from days to mins for most usecases.• Reworked existing ML adhoc practices with a principled, unified system, reducing modellifecycle time from weeks to hours.• Lead a 3 man engineering team to build Amplify, a data product which curated customAudiences for digital marketing on Facebook Ads platform.

Some of the interesting challenges we faced were:- Building interactive, highly customizable, network visualization tool with Rich Media capabilities.- Building interactive, filterable, reactive plotting systems enabling rapid exploration of data.- Unifying Data exploration and storytelling (presentation) - Explore relations in high dimensional dataset using networks created by unique clustering algorithms- Remote working and collaboration across countries.- CSV Parsing.
