I crafted Twitch’s global B2B and B2C communications strategy and narratives for press, streamers, viewers, and advertisers. This work included amplifying product launches, executive coaching, thought leadership, media and client relations, awards, and reactive comms. I also supported all monetization-related content and initiatives for tentpole events such as TwitchCon, CES, Cannes, IAB NewFronts, and more. I collaborated closely with teams across product and sales marketing, engineering and product, CX, account management, and events to showcase how we help streamers earn income across Twitch and help brands successfully connect with our community. During my time as the Co-Chair of the Black Guild (i.e. employee resource group), I’m proud to have led our efforts in cultivating a community that celebrates and advocates for Black voices and perspectives at and on Twitch.

I led the speaking and awards programs for my teams, identifying new opportunities, drafting submissions, and managing upcoming deadlines. In this position, I cut my teeth writing and editing press releases, bylines, blog posts, pitches, and crafting my media relations experience. I managed social media accounts with follower counts exceeding 1 million-- maintaining profiles across Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Lastly, I managed key infrastructural support, tracking coverage and regularly compiling reports to visualize article impact.

My primary role at the Future of Storytelling (FoST) involved working in collaboration with senior leadership to identify and pitch new business opportunities. Specifically I brainstormed and researched potential corporate sponsors for the FoST Summit and the inaugural FoST Festival. I also assisted the editorial team to create multiplatform storytelling projects, including: copyediting editorial content and drafting weekly blog post for the FoST blog. To assist with event production, I researched vendors and partners to help curate the FoST Summit. In addition to my internship responsibilities, I served as the interim Executive Assistant to the CEO, where I managed scheduling, communications, and office operations.
