About Alex Markowitz
Having graduated with B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, I came back home to NYC to join the growing NYC tech startup scene. I have professional work experience primarily in Python (Django), Golang, and JavaScript/TypeScript (React) but am also comfortable with a variety of other technologies as well as always interested in picking up new ones (Solidity, Dart)I've always enjoyed pursuing startups as a way to continue my engineering and business education, but remain passionate about continuing education in a variety of fields such as mathematics, hard sciences, and linguisticsI am interested in exploring the intersection of Computer Science and Business by applying my skills at a broad range of companies from entrepreneurial startups in HealthTech or nonprofits, to larger FinTech and enterprise software companies eventually leading me to my current role as one of the first 10 engineers, and now, an Engineering Manager at Flowcode.
