• Doctoral thesis done in Lab. Ingénierie des Matériaux Polymères and Lab. Microbiologie, Adaptation et Pathogénie in partnership with the industrial textile company Texinov. • PhD title: “Conception of a fibrous composite material for the retention of heavy metals”.• Creation of a prototype fibrous biosorbent material able to capture specifically three metal ions in liquid environments due to the presence of a synthetic multi-chelating metalloprotein.• Management of an international trainee's internship for 4 months.• Laboratory techniques: Protein modelisation, microbiology, enzymology, protein synthesis and purification, surface functionalization of materials with proteins, nanoparticules manipulation, electrospinning, isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), circular dichroism (CD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).• Competences: Bibliographic research, experiment design, multi-team project management, data analysis, written and oral communication.• Working in an international environment within a team.
