Profile bio

About Akshay Jadhav

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at TPI Composites, I have over five years of experience in conceptualizing, developing, and designing structures in accordance with customer requirements, with a focus on advanced composite materials such as carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) and fiberglass. I use CAE to investigate and evaluate new design and product technologies, and to support product development projects related to customer concerns and cost reductions. I am well versed with LS-DYNA, ANSA, META, and ANSYS software, and I have hands-on composites manufacturing experience using hand layup, VARTM, and other techniques.I have a strong background in structural crashworthiness, dynamic analysis, modal analysis, optimization, fatigue analysis, and structural life assessment. I have conducted CAE simulations to evaluate structural crashworthiness performance for high and low speed frontal, rear impact, front pendulum, roof crush, seat pull for leading OEMs of cabs related to FMVSS, SAE, and EU standards. I have also performed dynamic analysis of battery box such as drop test, crush test, scrape test, projectile test, and side impact. Additionally, I have conducted modal analysis to identify mode shapes, conducted optimization studies, and conducted extensive study on fatigue analysis and structural life assessment of aircraft structures. I have a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University, and a master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Sullivan University. My mission is to design lightweight composite structures for electric vehicles that are safe, sustainable, and efficient.
