Setting up customers with the designs and the products whilst also being available for support during the whole installation process allows for the customers to have a complete peace of mind knowing that a reputable business such as B&Q is there with them every step of the way.Using software packages goes hand in hand with my engineering studies at university as I also use design softwares for multiple modules and this helps me to greater understand the depth of how useful and essential design softwares are in many sectors of retail.Soft skills such as team working, problem solving and communication have all been strengthened in my time at B&Q as no days are the same and this helps to develop my interpersonal skills even further.

Being a part of Dixons Carphone has given me the opportunity to work in a field that has interested me for a large part of my upbringing as well as improving on many of the skills I had attained in previous working experiences. The role entailed a large variety and freedom in any jobs given to me and has allowed me to build on independent skills whilst also improving communication skills simultaneously.

Working in Matalan as a first job gave an insight as to how a professional business is run and how to operate as part of a team in order to make sure all tasks run smoothly. Team working and communication skills were the skills I developed the most as well as customer service skills that allowed me to speak to customers with professionalism. Matalan gave me a strong foundation on how to be a part of a team and how to work together to achieve a goal with vital skills that I will continue to improve at any job or role I play in a business.
