In my role as a Senior Buyer within the Babies R Us division, I held the responsibility of spearheading the development of own brand and licensed Nursery Bedding, Baby Clothing, and Travel Accessories. My position encompassed both buying and merchandising functions, allowing me to leverage a comprehensive skill set.

As a Senior Buyer within the BHS Homeware division, I held a pivotal role in managing the Home Living Department. With a sales value of £30 million and a vast product portfolio consisting of over 700 SKUs, I was entrusted with the responsibility of developing and sourcing a wide array of own brand product categories. I managed a team of 7 assistant buyers & buyers.

Responsible for buying 3 key departments at The Pier, which included cushions, rugs, window-dressings, table-linen, dinnerware, stemware & lighting. Total sales budget of £7 million with 900 options. I implemented key buying principles to the department, including critical path management, range building principles, rationalisation of supply base and development of a more commercial mix of product, whilst maintaining the brand essence.

I joined Next as an assistant buyer in the bedding dept after a career break travelling. I spent 12 months looking after kids bedding cushions before moving to the home accessories dept. After 6 months on this dept I was promoted buyer responsible for Art & collectables with a total sales plan of 9.2 million.

I joined Laura Ashley in my first role as an assistant buyer within women's knitwear & jersey. Key responsibilities included attending fit sessions, developing open to buy product, placing and managing commitment with suppliers and critical path management. I was promoted to Junior Buyer after 18 months and looked after knitwear with a sales budget of £15m.
