Recorded plate changes on required forms and in the Flowsys Equipment screen. • Adjusted feeder, loaded paper and applied ink. Checked ink rotation and set fountain keys and ink barrel sweeps. • Checked face registration using an off-line digiscope or Acqu Gauge and registered the back side to mirror the face. Adjusted press as necessary. Printed make-ready sheets to check for registration mirror image, and made plate maneuvers to achieve registration. • Made precise adjustments to the electronic dampening system and ink mechanism for proper color coverage. Operated computerized devices, such as the Nexus Quality Control System, which scans sheets on both sides for cropping of currency notes, color, and printing imperfections; and the GMI Auto smart Scanning System, which monitors ink density and screen values. • Constantly monitored press while in production, keeping all printed work within given tolerances. Used computer on press to monitor sheet production, ink barrel sweeps, sensors, and press configurations. Identified operating problems and made electro-mechanical adjustments or adjusted manually.

Adjusted press for proper numbering sequence, color, and quality, and inspected for errors. • Throughout press run, maintained awareness of synchronization between printing unit and cutting and banding unit, consistently checking for proper color, number sequence, registry and quality, and monitored count panel for pre-inking of numbering blocks. Randomly checked sheets at required intervals. Recorded on process sheet any irregularities, such as spots and ink problems, miscuts, and misnumbered notes, and corrected. • Near end of shift, cleaned seals and restarted press to be in running mode for the next shift. At the end of last shift, prior to shut down, removed ink from fountains, washed rollers, cleaned all printing surfaces, and ensured that all currency was secured and accurately sealed and labeled. With co-pressperson, resolved printing problems.
