His talent for systems thinking means that these solutions are well thought through and elegant. Adolph's strengths of natural inquisitiveness, a desire to always learn and a sharp intellection seem to have helped him build an incredible database of information in his head that he readily calls upon to solve problems. Adolph lives by the motto, “There is nothing quite so useless as doing with great efficiency that which should not be done at all.” And he applies this not only to his own work but to the work of his peers in the Engineering Department too. Adolph's experience as a university lecturer has resulted as him being viewed as a teacher and a mentor to us. His clear communication skills allow him to help us improve on our processes as a team and on a personal level as individuals. One example is when Adolph identified a bottleneck in our design process. This involved some of the design work we do on our CAD program, SolidWorks. A quick read-up on SolidWorks and Adolph found that he could program a macro to automatically do the work for us. This combined with a clearly written user manual allowed not only him but the entire team to save hours and hours of time spent on a menial activity."
