As the Manager of Artistic and Professional Development programs, I oversaw the development, execution, and evaluation of activities that support the careers and practices of Black Canadian artists through ongoing residencies, consulting, workshops, and conversations. In this role, I also supported the planning and presentation of exhibitions, showcases, and public art to provide a platform for emerging Black artists - allowing them build new audiences and develop critical conversations surrounding their work, while also creating opportunities for community members to engage with Black artistic expression.

Reporting to the Artscape Youngplace Managing Director and the Program Coordinator, I contributed to enriching the community participation and heritage celebration of Artscape Youngplace. As the Heritage and Community Assistant, I shared the history of Artscape Youngplace by compiling findings and materials, conducting research and interviews, and prepare information for our website and social media. I also developed a community research and outreach plan to strengthen connections with the variety of past, present and future community members at Artscape Youngplace. This included designing and offering free tours highlighting the history of, and opportunities offered at, Artscape Youngplace during the Doors Open Celebrations and throughout the summer months, as well as planning and delivery of community events, including a large scale community celebration and fundraiser.
