I am a junior at Boston University majoring in Mechanical engineering maintaining a 3.5 GPA. I currently work part-time as the product designer and machinist for Eleven58, a startup company focused on helping to recycle trash automatically. I Spearheaded the design of 4 different models, which consist of models that cater towards clients needs as well as models that are created for improved DFM, and am currently manufacturing the first prototype with the help of a newer engineer. I also am affiliated with the BU Mars Rover Club, specifically the mechanical group which mainly consists of designing, machining, and assembling the chassis. The design required me to use FEA on some of the parts and modify them for less stress. I have machined several parts for the chassis using CNC Mills, Lathes, Drill Presses and Miter Saws. The Chassis is completed.I was previously affiliated with the BU Baja SAE Club. This club was focused on building a Go-Kart from scratch. For the most part, our brakes, steering, and suspension team would communicate with the other team members on what to buy and where to place the components. After the design was finished, we started machining and building the kart. The main parts I machined were for the chassis and this included using, saws to cut tubes, tube hydraulic metal-benders, sanders to prep for welding, and welding each cut bar to each other.
