Adora (she/her) is a therapist in training, autism researcher, and Asian mental health advocate pursuing her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University. Adora is a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed intern therapist at Imagine Seattle where she works with adolescents and families in the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Her prior clinical experience spans various levels of care conducting individual and group therapy with children, adolescents, adults, and caregivers. Her DBT lens is further enhanced by her passion and training in supporting Autistic individuals and providing culturally responsive care for Asian populations.Adora is also a Research Manager at the University of Washington, where she has contributed to and coordinated numerous federally funded projects supporting autistic students and their educators in schools, earning her a nomination for the 2024 UW Distinguished Staff Award. A notable intersection between her clinical and research experiences include a study she supported on redesigning DBT for autistic young adults. As part of her research, she also has facilitated community advisory board meetings, mentored students, interns, and direct reports, and coached educators as a certified Remaking Recess coach and RUBIES therapist.In addition to her clinical and research work, Adora also founded FAUNA Mental Health Foundation in 2022, a nonprofit organization advocating for culturally relevant mental health resources for the Asian community. She leads an international team of volunteers and interns to provide free therapy resources through their website. Her team also holds mental health and advocacy workshops in collaboration with community organizations and partners.
