Senior Program Manager
CurrentProject Director on a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention -funded domestic capacity building assistance project. Responsible for leading a team to work with health departments in 65 states and U.S. territories on organizational development, program sustainability and the development of science-based HIV prevention plans. Duties include: budget management, staff supervision, training, and creating online tools. Provides ongoing support to domestic health projects funded by the CDC, Pfizer Foundation and the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Participates in AED’s coaching and mentoring program for junior-level staff.Task Manager on a CDC-funded domestic project related to the diffusion of an effective behavioral intervention linking recently tested persons to HIV care.Technical Advisor on USAID-funded initiatives in South Africa, Nigeria and Vietnam via the Umbrella Grants Management Project; New Partners Initiative and the Nigeria and Vietnam SMART Work Projects. Conducts TA, training and staff development; assesses technical and organizational capacity of NGO partners; assists with grants documentation process; and develops semi-annual and annual PEPFAR reports, marking and branding plans, and cost share plans.Technical areas of competency include: NGO and government capacity building; Community Mobilization; HIV Counseling and Testing/Linkage to Care; Behavior Change Communication; Diffusing Effective Behavioral Interventions; Integrating health services into HIV prevention programs; ; Health Systems Planning; Conducting Focus Groups/Key Informant Interviews and Needs Assessments; Working with Faith-Based Organizations; Mentoring and Coaching Staff and Volunteers; Orphaned and Vulnerable Children programming; Supporting Income Generating Activities; and advanced training skills in areas such as Organizational Development, Program Sustainability, Project Planning and Design, Managing Diversity and Creating Social Marketing Campaigns.
