Alexander began to actively trade and accumulate emerging & alternative cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, Monero, and more during the prolonged Bitcoin bear market of 2014-2017. During this period, Alexander began to lean towards a quantitative approach to digital assets, preferring to act as a market maker when the opportunity arose, leveraging machine learning and data-driven algorithms whenever possible.

Initially armed with his father's hand-me-down Nvidia GeForce 8800 in SLI, Alexander began mining Bitcoin in late 2011. Underage and without proper identification, Alexander fondly remembers the days of accepting up to 50% haircuts on the “cashing out” of $3 Bitcoins via the underground and illicit swapping of Bitcoin with IMVU / Second Life in-game currencies, which could be more freely swapped for “real money” than Bitcoin at the time.

Alexander began to play World of Warcraft in 2005 as a casual after-school hobby. This all changed with the release of Arena Season Two, in mid-2007. What started as a hobby quickly became an obsession when Alexander discovered the ultra-mechanical and theory-hungry European professional 3v3 circuit. If he wasn’t obsessively mastering his mechanical skills in-game, Alexander could be found typing into a calculator with one hand and a keyboard with the other, discovering and contributing to early “World of Theorycraft” documentation. Leveraging his lifelong passion and skills in Mathematics, he helped to discover - and weaponise - the still-emerging decade-and-a-half-old metagame and underlying principles of competitive World of Warcraft.
