Someone once said "Work is love made visible". Work gives purpose to a life. I feel that way about my job, and about working in general. My strengths, colleagues say, are being well-organized, being able to connect with people, to communicate complicated subject material or concepts clearly in either written or verbal communication, to listen, and create processes for getting from point "A" to point "B".For the last ten years, my professional life has been focused on working with the unemployed or under employed, providing them tools to deal with the barriers to securing a job in the current economy and directing them to services throughout the community that are available to help them break through those barriers. For the past three years I have been team lead for Business Services team. I work now almost exclusively with employers throughout the Shenandoah Valley Workforce region, assisting them with their recruiting needs. Offering services such as candidate referrals, applicant prescreening, hosting on-site and off-site job fairs, I have established a professional brand based on excellent service and dependability.
