Senior program & project manager, system architect, entrepreneur and multi-disciplinary engineer with 20 years experience in renewable energy, software development, industrial control systems, IoT, electronic engineering, RF communication and mechanical design. Also a professionally registered electrical engineer. Full time CTO of a space startup, which is developing a satellite global ground station network and a range control system for orbital launch vehicles respectively. For these projects I architected the systems and designed the first versions of all sub-systems, including the mechanical design of the precision antennas, the electrical and RF designs and custom PCB designs. I also developed the systems' software, which included real-time motion control, high-speed Digital Signal Processing, Software Defined Radio, web server and client GUI applications. These applications make extensive use of modern Industrial IoT concepts.Previously managed of all power and energy related aspects of the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) radio telescope mega-project for 10 years. I led an international and inter-disciplinary team on the €250+ million SKA Power Procurement Program, which is securing renewable, low-cost and reliable power for the data centres and telescopes, while conforming to the world's strictest Electromagnetic Interference requirements. I was also responsible for the energy efficiency of all telescope sub-systems, and have been intricately involved in the energy infrastructure and control system design, including the telescope reticulation networks and data centre power solutions.
