Manage a finance team of five, which includes debtors, creditors, and admin staff.Perform oversight accounting functions for the Western Cape region with an annual turnover of around ZAR60mil pa (excluding inter-company transactions), consisting of five retail branches and a distribution centre as well as two group companies: Wholesale Motor Glass (Pty) Ltd, run by Glasfit staff, with a regional turnover of ZAR12mil pa and responsible for the import of motor glass from China, and a company that operates in the flat/building glass sector, with a turnover of ZAR45mil pa.Strategy• Work closely with the local Director on the preparation of the annual budgets for review by Head Office accountants, CFO, and other Directors.• Conduct financial viability and risk analysis to assist EXCO with strategic decision making.Stakeholder Engagement• Manage internal relations with Western Cape admin and finance staff, branch managers and MD.• Liaise with Glasfit SA finance team as well as EXCO on relevant matters.• Manage relationship and deliverable from external auditors.• Liaise with Franchisees (8) in the Western Cape area on related and financial matters.Statutory• Responsible for full accounting function through to trail balance.• Deliver month end reports to top management, including Managing Director and national EXCO.• Manage the annual audit in accordance with IFRS for SMME’s.• Prepare forecasts and work closely with top management in this regard.• Compile payroll reports (57 staff) in Excel for processing by an external company.
