UK Finance Director for a company that provided both service and manufacturing elements:• Managing all aspects of the Finance function;• Leading the UK Business with the UK CEO, being the interim CEO in times of leave;• Supporting the Leadership team to ensure that there is full awareness of all key financial matters and building trusted relationships; • Working globally to ensure appropriate delivery of information, across 3 countries;• M&A experience with bidding, negotiating and mobilising a new entity (£10m revenue) to internalise the supply chain, including ERP implementation;• Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts and associated analysis in line with agreed timescales and liaising internationally with stakeholders;• Managing the Financial Planning and Analysis process;• Responsible for monthly budgeting;• Responsible for the creation of Statutory accounts under UK GAAP and internal reporting under IFRS;• Stepping out of Transitional Service Arrangements and bringing them in house along with setting up and managing insurances (Fleet, Property, Marine, Product & Employers); • Being a catalyst for business change providing insight for the re-education sales (Revenue Vs Profitability);• Recognising leading and lagging indicators and advising based upon them;• Building and managaing external relationships with Banks (Lloyds and HSBC), auditors and tax teams;• Managing foreign exchange (spots/outright) and cashflow with 2 bank accounts that held daylight limits of up to £6m; • Leading and developing individuals;• Working alongside the sales function, providing high quality analysis and financial modelling to maximise returns and tracking performance of tenders and contracts. Including the tendering of multimillion pound deals such as Sainsburys, Allianz, Amazon, and Compass; • Ensuring compliance with legal aspects including the Financial Conduct Authority.

I work alongside the UK divisions providing effective business partnering support and commercial review. I am hands-on with company finances and also commercially aware, advising on the best path of growth for the business that are sustainable for the medium and long term, in both manufacturing and service elements. I own the responsibility for the financial aspects of each of the division’s strategies, analysing figures and implementing recommendations based on these findings, these are focused on the most profitable and ethical outcomes.I lead a team of 4 through difficult periods including month end, year end and annual budgeting, communicating with all levels of staff and having to work with various departments to help them plan and manage their own budgets.In periods of change I support the business in areas of corporate finance, managing company policies and advising on improvements that will make financial reporting, analysis and decision making faster and more effective.

Strong financial management skills supported by proven technical and analytical ability to underpin key decision making.In addition to stewardship responsibilities of the role I.e financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving adequacy of the internal controls and processes, I am required to challenge the business to address risks and opportunities and provide change that is consistent across multiple sites.Further to this I provide SAP training for individuals at both a contract and management level as well as advising on the improvement of the flow of data through Business Objects.
