I wrote an online medical database to manage the medical care for children in foster or orphanage care. The medical database is used to provide an elevated level of care for the children, allowing medical staff to spend less time doing paperwork and more time providing hands on care to the children. I also manage New Day's IT infrastructure, including their LAN, VPN services, computer hardware, and network security.Some of my key responsibilities are:- Performed unit testing of all developed components before releasing into production environment. - Collaborated with end users to meet application requirements.- Migrated existing databases from older version to newer versions of MySQL. - Gathered functional and technical requirements.- Implemented data security measures to protect confidential information. - Maintained Virtual Servers for development, testing and deployment; as well as GIT and code repositories and build & deployment management.- Configured replication, backup and recovery of databases. - Implemented SDLC and SEMP processes, based on Agile methodologies.- Deployed changes in production environment following industry best practices for change management process.- Provided technical training for local and remote staff/volunteers.

Worked in Air Traffic Management Engineering as a Senior Systems Developer and Analyst. Started as a radar technologist maintaining the radar systems, and later moved into software. Delivered several successful projects from Flight Data systems to Scheduling and Sequencing systems. I wrote the department's Software Development Life Cycle and Software Engineering Management Plans. Worked with the risk assessment teams to help identify and mitigate any potential risks in the overall system designed. Worked with the training teams to develop training curriculum, manuals, and other maintenance related documentation. Also worked as a training, teaching external air traffic controllers or technical staff how to operate and maintain the air traffic control systems. I was often part of the sales team and sent to customer sites (Canada, UK, Hong Kong, etc.) to represent our company to the customer. When dealing with customers, I would often have to mitigate issues which may have been present during factory (or site) acceptance testing, managing change requests, communicate/understand/translate customers' requirements into technical requirements for the technical teams.
