Area Manager of 16 Charity shops across Leicestershire and Rutland that has an approximate annual turnover of 1.8million. The shops each have a Manager and a minimum of one Deputy and several shops have Team Leaders and Sales Assistants, all of these roles are paid roles. I am responsible for the recruitment of these positions along with training, coaching, personnel matters and staff development. Alongside this I have around 200 volunteers that work in these shops . Again I support Shop Managers and our marketing team to recruit new volunteers whilst coaching and communicating to existing volunteers. I also pay regular visits to the shop looking at shop standards, health n safety and maintenance issues. In three of the shops we also do online selling so I drive that and keep a record of online income achieved. I hold regular Manager meetings so we learn and develop whilst sharing ideas and best practices and hold regular reviews and one to one’s with the team. I am also a Health n Safety Champion, a Safeguarding Champion and a trained Mental Health First Aider
