Subsequently he directed the Yardley Group’s International Division responsible for brand building via 68 overseas distributors and licensees, including "step-outs" in Russia, Brazil, Japan, Argentina and Poland. He started (at Smedleys Ltd and then Beecham Products International) with extensive early sales and marketing experience in a variety of consumer goods fields across a 100 countries involving blue chip brands to which he later added private label experience. Early Beecham Group roles involved market research and the development and launching of new products and included profit responsible/ marketing experience during postings in Africa and Asia.
